Originally perceived as a supporting platform for other industries in Malaysia, it has now expanded onto the international stage. Government initiatives, as outlined in the Dasar Industri Kreatif Negara, have provided support for the community to enter the industry. However, despite the support and talent development, certain key elements necessary for the industry to fully emerge as a contributor to societal and national development are still lacking.
